It was a crazy scene last night at the National League Wild Card Game. It was the Brewers vs Nationals, and the Brewers were in the lead when the Nationals had three men on base. Nationals outfielder Juan Soto ripped a ball to first base, however a lucky skip helped in get past first and on to the outfield right to Trent Grisham. Grisham is the rookie replacement for reigning NL MVP in Christian Yelich, who was the front-runner to win the award again before a season ending knee-cap fracture. Grisham had the ball rolling his way when he misjudged where it was going to land it missed the ball as a whole, causing a season ending error for the Brewers team. In 2015, the Brewers selected Grisham in the first round of the MLB Draft. He started this season in the Brewer's minor league system, playing Double A ball and his great play helped him become the replacement for one of the best players in baseball. Grisham talked to reporters after the game, saying it was his own fault for the error. He approached the ball too quickly and it slipped by him because of that. The Brewers had a fantastic run to end the season off, beating out the Cubs to the second wild card spot in the NL after winning 13 of 15 games without Christian Yelich. The Brewers know have their sights on next season while the Nationals have their sights on the Dodgers. Written by Chris Dailey
